FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team plays a pair on mid-week, non-conference games, hosting Georgetown on Tuesday at Spuhler Field before traveling to take on UMBC on Wednesday at Alumni Field in Baltimore, Md. The first pitch for both games is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Last time out, Mason (9-7) dropped the final game of its series against Monmouth, 7-3, on Sunday at Spuhler Field.

Logan Driscoll leads the team in average (.323), hits (21), home runs (4) and runs scored (15).
Reckling is batting .306 and is second on the club in hits (18) and runs scored (14), while Aponte is hitting .281 and is third on the team in hits (16) and runs scored (12).
Mason has a team batting average of .233 and a team ERA of 4.98.
Last season, Georgetown swept three games from Mason Apr. 13-14, 2018. The Hoyas defeated the Patriots 7-3, 6-2 and 10-7.
The Patriots won the lone meeting against UMBC last season, with an 11-4 victory over the Retrievers on Mar. 28, 2018 at Spuhler Field.
SCOUTING REPORT
Georgetown has a record of 6-14 through 20 games. The Hoyas are 3-2 at home, 1-5 on the road and 2-7 in games played at a neutral site.
The Hoyas split a four-game series against Princeton Mar. 15-17 at Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, Md. Georgetown dropped the first two games to the Tigers, 10-6 and 5-0. The Hoyas then picked up wins in the final two games, 9-6 and 10-6.
Graduate student Kyle Ruedisili was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after batting .462 (6-for-13) last week. He leads the team in home runs (4), runs scored (21) and stolen bases (6). Ruedisili is also second on the squad in doubles (7) and RBI (14).
Hoyas sophomore infielder Eddie McCabe leads the Hoyas in average (.370), hits (27), RBI (15) and walks (13), while freshman infielder Michael Willis is second on the team in average (.367), third in RBI (13) and tied for fourth in hits (18).
Georgetown junior outfielder Ryan M. Davis is hitting .321 and is second on the club in hits (26). He leads the Hoyas in extra-base hits, with two home runs, three triples and eight doubles.
As a team, the Hoyas lead the BIG EAST with a team batting average of .293. Georgetown has a team ERA 5.66.
UMBC has an overall record of 4-9, including a mark of 0-3 against America East opponents. The Retrievers are 1-1 at home, 2-8 on the road and 1-0 in games played at a neutral site.
UMBC dropped all three games in its road series at Stony Brook. The Retrievers were swept in a doubleheader, 4-3 and 9-3, on Mar. 16. The Seawolves completed the sweep with an 8-5 win in the final game of the series on Mar. 17.
Junior infielder Christian Torres is batting .333 and leads the team in hits (15), RBI (11) and runs scored (11). Senior outfielder Terrance Pinkston is hitting .298 and ranks second on the club in hit (14) and doubles (3).
