FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason wrestling team concludes the regular season with a road dual on Friday, facing Hofstra at 7 p.m. at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex in Hempstead, N.Y.
Last time out, Mason (8-7, 3-3 EWL) fell to Maryland (1-11, 0-8 Big ten), 26-12, on Sunday at the Recreation Athletic Complex in Fairfax.
Against the Terrapins, freshman
Kolby Ho (157 lbs.) earned a 5-3 decision, redshirt junior
Colston DiBlasi (165 lbs.) recorded a 9-0 major decision and redshirt sophomore
Eli Spencer (197 lbs.) posted seven takedowns on the way to a 23-12 major decision.
Redshirt senior
Matthew Voss (27-5, 12-2) leads the team with a career-high 27 wins and 12 dual victories. He finished with a 6-0 dual record in Eastern Wrestling League competition.
Voss is ranked No. 18 at heavyweight in the latest NCAA Division I Coaches' Rankings. He is also ranked No. 12 by TheOpenMat, No. 13 by FloWrestling, No. 15 by Win Magazine and No. 16 by Intermat.
The final Coaches' Panel Rankings will be part of the selection process to determine the qualifiers for the 2019 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships to be held March 21-23 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Mason redshirt senior
Tejon Anthony (26-9, 11-4) is ranked No. 32 at 149 pounds in the second Division I Coaches' Rankings. He is tied for second on the squad with 26 overall wins.
DiBlasi (26-9, 10-2) is tied for second on the team in wins, while Spencer (23-11, 5-5) is third and Ho (19-10, 9-4) is fourth.
DiBlasi is ranked No. 26 at 165 pounds and Spencer is ranked No. 33 at 197 pounds in the latest Division I Coaches' Rankings.
Mason finished the regular season with three victories against Eastern Wrestling League opponents, equaling the most wins against conference foes since joining the league in 2013-14.
The Patriots will host the 2019 EWL Championships on March 9 at EagleBank Arena. Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 1 and will be available at the EagleBank Arena box office or online at Ticketmaster.com.
This season, the Patriots have recorded wins over VMI (20-17), Bloomsburg (24-11), Gardner-Webb (30-13), Davidson (34-6), Cleveland State (26-9), The Citadel (31-18), Edinboro (20-19) and Franklin & Marshall (36-10).

The Patriots won four bouts in the match.
Anthony posted by 15-3 major decision at 141 pounds, Sahid Kargbo earned a 6-2 decision at 149 pounds,
Daniel Mika notched a 5-2 decision at 184 pounds and Voss picked up an 8-6 decision at 285 pounds.
Conference allocations for NCAA Championships and third release of the NCAA Coaches' Rankings/RPI will be released on Feb. 28.
The 330 qualifiers for the Division I Wrestling Championships will be announced on March 12 and the NCAA.com selection show will air at 6 p.m. on March 13.

SCOUTING HOFSTRA
Hofstra has an overall record of 6-13, including a mark of 2-7 against EIWA opponents. The Pride have a record of 1-4 at home, 3-8 on the road and 2-1 in duals held at a neutral site.
Hofstra has dropped each of its last three duals and six of the last eight.
The Pride fell 30-14 at Binghamton on Feb. 10 in Vestal, N.Y. Hofstra then wrestled a pair of duals on Feb. 16, dropping a 24-12 decision to Brown in Providence, R.I. before falling 24-19 at Harvard in Cambridge, Mass.
Freshman Dylan Rider (22-10, 14-4 at 125 lbs.) leads the team in wins, dual victories and is tied for first on the squad with five pins. He paces the Pride with three major decisions and four technical falls.
Sophomore Ricky Stamm (17-12, 12-1 at 165 lbs.) is second on the team in wins and dual victories.
Freshman Trey Rogers (16-18, 9-10 at 184 lbs.) is third on the team in wins, while classmate Holden Heller (14-8, 11-4 at 149 lbs.) is tied for fourth on the squad in wins with senior Nezar Haddad (14-12, 11-8 at 285 lbs.).
