Mason Athletics Thanks Armed Forces Night Sponsors

George Mason Athletics expresses its sincere thanks to each of our Armed Forces Night sponsors from Tuesday's 68-55 victory over Navy at EagleBank Arena.

Over 1,500 tickets were purchased and donated to military families in the DC region. In all, 5,620 people attended the game and created an energetic atmosphere that helped propel head coach Dave Paulsen's team to a season-opening victory.

"I would also like to share my gratitude to our Armed Forces Night sponsors who generously contributed over 1,500 tickets to the men and women of our Armed Forces. Thanks to their support, Mason Athletics was able to provide them with a wonderful experience at EagleBank Area," Paulsen said. "I am truly inspired by the commitment and support received by our student body and greater Fairfax community."

With the victory, the Patriots improved to 31-23 (.574) all time in season openers and 20-8 in home debuts.
