Atlantic 10 Release

FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason junior Jacquee Clabeaux has been named Atlantic 10 Women's Performer of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Clabeaux, from Fairfax, Va., made the podium six times during the three-day Patriot Invitational.  She won two individual events and finished in the top-three as part of four Mason relay teams. 

On the first day of competition, Clabeaux took the top spot on the podium in the 200-yard IM by nearly two seconds with a time of 2:00.69.  She was also a member of the 400-yard medley relay team that finished second (3:45.10) and the 200-yard freestyle relay team that placed third (1:34.07).

On day two, Clabeaux swam the first leg of the winning 800-yard freestyle relay team that set a new meet record with a time of 7:29.74.

Clabeaux wrapped up a memorable meet on the final day, claiming the Patriot Invitational championship in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:13.56.  She was also a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that placed third (3:25.82).

The Patriots host UMBC on Saturday, January 18 with the meet scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Jim McKay Natatorium in Fairfax.
