MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING at A-10 Classic

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's and men's swimming and diving teams will face Atlantic 10 opponents, competing in the A-10 Classic on Saturday and Sunday at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
The Mason men's team will compete against La Salle, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis, while the women's team will take on Duquesne, La Salle, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis.
The Mason men's team has won its first two dual meets of the season, while the women's team will look for its first dual victory of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Mason men's team defeated Delaware 203-97 on Oct. 5 in Newark, Del., and earned a 257-148 victory over Davidson at the Richmond Duals on Oct. 18-19 in Richmond, Va.
Last season, the Mason men's team finished the two-day A-10 Classic with a perfect 3-0 record, defeating La Salle (187-166), Saint Louis (195-156) and St. Bonaventure (229-123).
Attila Kiss took the top spot in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:26.27), while
Ryan Donnelly won the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.88).
Dylan Peck placed third in the 200-yard IM (1:54.88),
Andres Alarcon was third in the 100-yard butterfly (51.28),
Nick Ashton took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (21.57) and 200-yard freestyle (1:44.16) and
Logan Eubanks was sixth in the 500-yard freestyle (4:46.68).
On the women's side at last year's A-10 Classic, Mason earned four victories, defeating La Salle (203-142), Duquesne (179.5-171.5), Saint Louis (195-156) and St. Bonaventure (181-164).
Megan Cummins won the 500-yard freestyle (5:08.46) and the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:32.19).
Autumn Boxley placed fifth in the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:21.57), while
Shannon Glesing was fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.37), sixth in the 50-yard freestyle (24.87) and seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.50).
Hannah Ikenberry took fifth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.39),
Annie McNenny tied for sixth in the 100-yard butterfly (59.41),
Melissa Carroll was seventh in the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.10) and
Mia McKinley placed ninth in the 400-yard IM (4:47.39).
The Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships will be held at the SPIRE Institute on Feb. 19-22, 2020.
