FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason wrestling team continues its Eastern Wrestling League schedule, hosting Edinboro on Sunday at 12 p.m. at the Recreation Athletic Complex in Fairfax.
Mason (6-4, 2-2 EWL) dropped its last dual, falling at Clarion, 27-16 on Jan. 17 at Marwick-Boyd Auditorium in Clarion, Pa.

Matthew Voss (285 lbs.) each recorded victories for the Patriots against the Golden Eagles.
This season, the Patriots have recorded wins over VMI (20-17), Bloomsburg (24-11), Gardner-Webb (30-13), Davidson (34-6), Cleveland State (26-9) and The Citadel (31-18).
The first NCAA Coaches' Rankings were released this week, ranking 33 wrestlers in each weight class.
Mason has three wrestlers in the rankings, with Voss ranked 12th at heavyweight, DiBlasi 24th at 165 pounds and redshirt senior
Tejon Anthony 28th at 149 pounds.
Voss (24-4, 9-1) leads the team in victories and has earned bonus points in five of his nine dual wins this season. He is ranked #12 by FloWrestling, #13 by TheOpenMat, #16 by Intermat and #22 by Trackwrestling.
DiBlasi (23-8, 7-1), who is second on the team in wins, has recorded 14 of his victories this season by fall.
Anthony (22-8, 7-3) has earned bonus points in 12 of his wins, with six major decisions, four pins and one technical fall.
Mason is facing Edinboro exactly one year after the last meeting between the two programs.
In last year's matchup, the Patriots, who were competing in their second dual of the day, dropped a 41-0 decision to the Fighting Scots on Jan. 27, 2018 at McComb Fieldhouse.

SCOUTING EDINBORO
Edinboro has competed in six open tournaments and seven duals this season. The Fighting Scots have an overall record of 2-5, including a 1-2 mark against EWL opponents. Edinboro is 1-2 at home, 0-2 on the road and 1-1 in duals held at a neutral site.
The Fighting Scots have dropped both of their EWL road duals. Edinboro fell at Bloomsburg, 21-19 (Jan. 11) and dropped a 25-11 decision at Rider (Jan. 12).
In the NCAA coaches' rankings, freshman Jacob Oliver is ranked 27th (174 lbs.), while junior Dylan Reynolds (197 lbs.) and sophomore Jon Spaulding (285 lbs.) are both ranked 29th.
Reynolds leads the team in wins with an overall record of 24-9 on the season. He placed first at the Journeyman Northeast Open, placed third at the PSAC Championships and finished fifth at the Michigan State Open.
Oliver is second on the squad in wins with a 22-4 record, posting eight major decisions and four technical falls on the year. He has won three championships this season, claiming titles at the PSAC Championships, the Michigan State Open and the Journeyman Northeast Open.
Last time out, the Fighting Scots won seven of 10 bouts, including each of the last five, on the way to a 24-13 victory over Cleveland State on Jan. 18 at McComb Fieldhouse in Edinboro, Pa.

MAT FACT
Edinboro alum Matt Hill is in his first season as head coach of the Fighting Scots. He is the 12th head coach in program history.
Hill wrestled for Edinboro from 2002-2007 and was a three-time national qualifier. He finished with a 105-42 career record, including a 32-7 mark his senior year. Hill's 105 victories are tied for the 20th-most in school history.
