Women’s Tennis Signs Three for 2018-19

FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University women's tennis head coach Steve Curtis has announced the signing of three student-athletes who will compete for the Green & Gold beginning in fall 2018-19.
 
That trio includes Hannah Harrod (Austin, Texas), Jackie Nannery (Canton, Mass.) and Marium Raza (Savannah, Ga.).
 
"We are very excited to welcome Hannah, Jackie and Marium to our program next year," Curtis said. "They each are very accomplished players that will fit very well into our team's model and add value both on and off the tennis court. They will help our overall depth as we continue to improve and be better each year."

Hannah Harrod | 5-6 | Austin, Texas | Saint Michael's Catholic Academy
3-star recruit and named one of the top-50 players in Texas (and top-280 nationally)…First Team All-State…Led team to four TAPPS State Championships…Recipient of the ATA Work Ethic Award, St. Michael's MVP Award and the Nancy Jeffett Sportsmanship Award…Two-time TAPPS Academic All-State selection…Member of the National Honor Society…Received the President Volunteer Service Award and the SMCA Mother Theresa Award.
 
Jackie Nannery | 5-8 | Canton, Mass. | Canton High School
3-star recruit as named by tennisrecruiting.net…Ranked as high as top-200 in the nation…New England USTA Zonals Team Spot #6…Two-year member of the Canton High School Honor Roll…Served as assistant tennis coach at Canton High School…Earned the Academic Excellence Award from the Evert Tennis Academy.
 
Marium Raza | 5-4 | Savannah, Ga. | Saint Vincent Academy
3-star recruit and was ranked as high as No. 260 nationally...Played No. 1 singles for Saint Vincent Academy…Undefeated in Savannah, the region and the state of Georgia…Named Savannah Morning News Girls Player of the Year…Named Saint Vincent Team MVP…Member of the National Honor Society.
