FAIRFAX, Va. – The best two-game stretch of her young career landed
Erin Donoghue another honor from the Atlantic 10 Conference.
The freshman midfielder was named the A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, marking the fourth time this season she has either shared or won the award outright. The Mount Laurel, N.J., native, scored nine goals and collected 18 draw controls in two games last week.
On Friday, she scored a career-high five goals on five shots, grabbed seven draw controls and recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 15-8 victory at St. Bonaventure. She then notched another five-point game on Sunday with four goals and an assist in a 16-9 loss at Saint Joseph's. She also collected a career-high 11 draw controls.
She ranks first on the team in draw controls (74), second in goals (38) and third in points (45).
The Patriots wrap up the regular season against VCU at 1 p.m. on Saturday on Senior Day at George Mason Stadium.
