FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason redshirt-junior Matthew Voss has qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division I Championships to be held March 15-17 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Voss, a native of Edgewood, Wash., received an at-large bid at 285 pounds after finishing third at the Eastern Wrestling League Championships.  He was one of only 47 wrestlers in the nation awarded an at-large bid.

Voss, along with redshirt-senior Ibrahim Bunduka (125) and redshirt-junior Tejon Anthony (141), will represent Mason at the NCAA Championships.  Bunduka (23-12) placed second, while Anthony (21-12) was fourth in the EWL Championships to punch their ticket to the nationals.

Three NCAA qualifiers are the most for Mason since 2001.

Voss (23-12), who is 30th in the Coaches Panel Rankings, tied for first on the team in wins and led the squad with a career-best six pins during the 2017-18 campaign.

Brackets for the 2018 NCAA Championships will be announced at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
