Mason never trailed but Coastal Carolina (1-2) kept it close throughout in a game that was postponed from Saturday due to high winds. But the Chanticleers scored four goals in a 4 ½ minute span. Haley Kyger's free position goal with 1:31 remaining cut the deficit to 10-9. A turnover by Mason with 32 seconds left gave Coastal Carolina a chance to tie. But Semkiw stuck out her right foot and made the biggest save as the game as she deflected Kyger's game-tying attempt.
