FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason baseball head coach
Bill Brown announced the addition of eight new student-athletes who joined the Patriots this fall.
Head Coach Bill Brown on the group:
"We are extremely excited to welcome this talented group of freshmen into our program as they begin their college careers," Brown said. "Each of these student-athletes was a highly decorated high school player. We look forward to seeing those abilities translate into individual success at the college level. Our expectations are high and we look forward to the contributions each player will make to the team this spring."

Tommy Bradley | Fairfax High School | Fairfax, Va. | Pitcher
Bradley, a 6-foot-5 pitcher from Fairfax, Va., earned four varsity baseball letters with the Rebels. He was named first team All-Conference, first team All-Northern Region and was an Honorable Mention All-Met selection.
Bradley finished with a 1.60 ERA his junior year, recording 55 strikeouts over 45.0 innings of work. During his senior year, he batted .467 with three home runs.
Daniel Brooks | Spotsylvania High School | Spotsylvania, Va. | Infield/Pitcher
Brooks, a native of Spotsylvania, Va., earned four baseball letters at Spotsylvania High School where he was a four-time team MVP with the Knights. Brooks, an infielder and pitcher, was also named first team All-Conference four times and was selected first team All-Region three times.
Brooks, who was captain of the Knights his senior year, was tabbed the 2017 Conference Player of the Year and Region Player of the Year. He batted .386 with 22 RBI and three home runs, while finishing his senior season with a 1.20 ERA with 78 strikeouts over 58.0 innings pitched.
Austin Cabone | Frank W. Cox High School | Virginia Beach, Va. | Pitcher
Cabone, a 6-foot-1 right-hander from Virginia Beach, Va., joins Mason after earning four baseball letters at Frank W. Cox High School. He was named first team All-Conference, All-Region and All-State his senior year.
Cabone, the 2017 6A Conference Player of the Year and 6A State Player of the Year, finished his senior season with 10-1 with a 1.54 ERA with two saves. He struck out 90 batters over 54.0 innings in his final year with the Falcons.
Ryan Miles| Woodgrove High School | Waterford, Va. | Pitcher
Miles, a native of Waterford, Va., joins the Patriots after earning three baseball letters at Woodgrove High School. He was selected to the USA Baseball NTIS Capital Region team and was also named 2017 first team All-Conference.
Miles was ranked the No. 14 pitcher in Virginia by Perfect Game and was also a 2017 Rawlings Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American. He recorded 63 strikeouts and allowed just four earned runs while holding opponents to a .125 batting average in 38 innings as a senior.
In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Miles was a member of the World Languages Honor Society and National Honor Society.
Scott Morgan | Woodbridge Senior High School | Woodbridge, Va. | Outfield
Morgan, a 6-foot-2 outfielder from Woodbridge, Va., joins Mason after earning four varsity baseball letters at Woodbridge Senior High School. Captain of the Vikings his junior and seniors years, he was a two-time all-conference selection and was named first team All-State his senior year.
Mason O'Mara | Red Bank Regional | Shrewsbury, N.J. | Pitcher
O'Mara, a 6-foot-3 right-hander from Shrewsbury, N.J., was named to the 2017 All-Division Team and was also NJSIAA Shore Conference Pitcher of the Year. He finished his senior year with a 5-4 record with 57 strikeouts over 47.1 innings of work.
James Price | Patriot High School | Bristow, Va. | Pitcher
Price, a native of Bristow, Va., comes to Mason from Patriot High School. He was selected first team All-Conference, first team All-Region and first team All-Met. The right-hander was also named Conference 8 Pitcher of the Year and was a member of the Virginia All-State Team.
Michael Yuille | Northwest High School | Boyds, Md. | Infield/Pitcher
Yuille, a native of Boyds, Md., joins the Patriots after being named All-County first team, All-Region first team and All-Met honorable mention.
He holds the Northwest High School record for most hits and most doubles in a season. Yuille finished his senior year with a .408 batting average with 31 hits and 15 doubles. On the mound, he had a 2.15 ERA with 47 strikeouts for the Jaguars.
