First Round Results
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – With one round to play, the George Mason men's golf team finds itself in good position to claim a tournament title.
The Patriots lead the Navy Spring Invitational after shooting a 12-over 296 on a rainy first day on Saturday at the Navy Academy Golf Course. Mason holds a three-stroke lead over Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's (15-over) with 18 holes left on Sunday in the 36-hole tournament.

Kyle Hart and freshman
Davis Soderberg paced the Patriots, both shooting 2-over-par 73 to tie for eighth place. Junior
Ellis Messian sits a stroke back tied for 12th after shooting 3-over 74.
Junior
Eric Edwards shot a 5-over 76 to tie for 22nd, as did junior
Wonsuk Rhee, who competed as an individual. Junior
Brock Kovach and freshman
Jeff Wilson (competing as an individual) are tied for 30th after shooting 6-over 77.
Freshman
Takahiro Nojima competed as an individual and shot a 9-over 80. Junior
Trevor Tremps also competed as an individual and shot a 13-over 84.
