HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – For the fifth straight year, the George Mason men's golf team heads to the Sunshine State to play host for 54 holes.
The Patriots host the fifth annual Mission Inn Spring Spectacular on Saturday and Sunday at the Mission Inn Golf Resort just north of Orlando. Seventeen teams will compete on the historic El Campeon Course, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017.
The two-day tournament begins with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday. The teams will play 36 holes the opening day before closing out on Sunday with 18. The par-72 course spans 6,884 yards. Live scoring can be accessed on

The field includes the Big 12's TCU and BIG EAST opponent Marquette. TCU reached the NCAA Championships last year, tying for 14th and making the postseason for the 27th straight season.
The Patriots will see familiar Atlantic 10 faces in Dayton, George Washington and Saint Joseph's. Dayton was picked to win the A-10 Championship in the preseason coaches poll. The Flyers captured the A-10 Match Play crown in February.
Mason finished tied for 10th at the Seminole Intercollegiate last weekend in Tallahassee, Fla. Junior
Eric Edwards tied for 12th, shooting a 7-under 209 (72-71-66). He shot a six-under 66 on the final day to climb 16 spots.
