FAIRFAX, Va. – A two-game tear by Chachi Kelehan didn't go unnoticed.

The George Mason sophomore was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week on Tuesday. Kelehan scored nine goals (on 10 shots) and dished out two assists in two games last week.

Kelehan, who entered last week with no goals and just one assist for the season, scored her first four goals of 2017 in an 11-10 overtime loss to No. 20 Virginia Tech last Wednesday. The 2016 A-10 All-Rookie selection needed just four shots to do so and recorded her second assist of the season for a five-point day.

On Saturday, the attacker from Ellicott City, Md., picked up right where she left off. She tied a career high with five goals in a 16-10 victory over Liberty on Saturday. She took just six shots and also had an assist for a six-point day.

Thanks to her two-game spurt, she now leads the Patriots in goals (nine) and points (12). She is also tied for the team lead in assists (three).

Mason (2-2) returns to action at 6 p.m. Wednesday at High Point (N.C.) for the first of three consecutive road games.
