FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's cross country teams continued to add to their long string of success in the classroom.

Both the men's and women's teams were named Division I All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This marked the ninth straight year the men's team has received the honor and fifth consecutive year for the women.

In order to be eligible for the award, teams must have compiled a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The Mason women's team had a 3.63 GPA while the men compiled a GPA of 3.18. 

A total of 189 Division I men's teams and 272 Division I women's teams earned All-Academic Team honors from the USTFCCCA.
