FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason's
Steven Flynn picked up his first win of the year on Saturday.
Three days later, he collected his first honor of the season.
Flynn was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Co-Performer of the Week on Tuesday. The senior from Edison, N.J., earned the award after winning the 3,000-meter run at the Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday at Boston University.
Flynn ran a personal-best time of 8:12.49, which is the fastest time in the A-10 this season. Flynn, the reigning A-10 indoor champ in the 3,000-meter run, will compete in the A-10 Indoor Championships next weekend on Feb. 18-19 at the George Mason Field House.
