FAIRFAX, Va. - With the Atlantic 10 annual awards being released Thursday, sophomore middle blocker Katrina Santos represents the Patriots by being named to the A-10 All-Academic team. She is one of 10 players to receive that honor for the 2017 season.

The selections were made based on the appropriate blend of high performance on the court and in the classroom. Santos finished the season third on the Patriots in total blocks (34) and recorded 15.5 points on 9/16 vs. Loyola Md. by posting a career high 14 kills and picked up three blocks in the Patriots 3-2 victory. The East Troy, Wis. native majors in civil engineering and posts a 3.82 grade point average. 

Santos has been named to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll twice - Fall 2016 and Spring 2017. Her selection in the spring was a part of the record breaking 159 George Mason student-athletes that were earned the Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction.
