George Mason University has signed a multi-year, million-dollar agreement with Vivature Sports of Dallas, Texas to apply the fast-growing company's athletics' training software and billing solution. The agreement guarantees George Mason Athletics $1,050,000 over five years, plus a threshold share of additional revenue.
“Vivature's expertise with injury tracking software will allow our staff to perform their care in a more organized and efficient manner, continuing our efforts to enhance our commitment to the student-athlete's well-being,” said Mason's Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance Debi Corbatto. “The partnership with Vivature will help us accomplish that mission while also creating a new revenue stream through the company's unique billing solutions.”
George Mason has won two National Championships and most famously reached the NCAA Final Four in Men's Basketball in 2006. The Patriots support approximately 450 student-athletes at the fast-growing university, which is nearing 35,000 students enrolled.
“George Mason is taking action to create a new, innovative revenue source, while at the same time making a major statement to recruits and their families about their commitment to the quality of care they will provide”, said Vivature CEO Muzzy Bass. “Quite frankly, with so much news about the gap between the power five and the rest of Division I, George Mason is showing that there are avenues for all schools to enhance what they are doing rather than constrict it. We are extremely proud to partner with such great leadership and with an elite institution such as George Mason.”
Vivature has now partnered with nearly 200 schools on their Healthcare Management Program, which provides a new revenue stream, risk mitigation and athletic training room compliance services to collegiate athletic departments of all levels and sizes. Vivature has recently announced partnerships with universities of all levels, including Penn State in Division I to Graceland University of the NAIA.

About Vivature
Vivature, based in Dallas, TX has nearly 400 collegiate partners using a variety of services, and has recently been named one of the top 25 emerging sports technology firms in sports today. Using a multi-million dollar enterprise-level software and data base, Vivature clients use their NExTT software to record all medical treatments being conducted on student-athletes under the supervision of the team physician, creating a complete database for the university to protect from liability and comply with all laws and regulations. The software automatically generates claims in the same form as the physicians or outside providers who provide care to student-athletes do today, and delivers a share of the collected revenues back to the athletic department for reinvestment, without any change in process or cost for the university.
