George Mason's golf team is competing at the Bash at the Beach held at the Surf Golf & Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach. After two rounds of play, the Patriots are in 14th after shooting 297 in both rounds.
James Madison leads the tournament with a team score of 563 and Arkansas State is in second with 566. Host App State is tied with Western Kentucky and Gardner-Webb.
Mason's Eric Edwards carded a one-under 70 in the opening round followed by even par in the second round to lead the Patriots. Edwards had seven birdies and six bogeys in the 36 holes. He is five strokes off the leader Patrick Moriarty from Appalachian State.
The final round of the 2016 Bash at the Beach is slated for a 9:15 tee time on Tuesday morning.
