The Mason Patriots fell short 2-5 against a strong Valparaiso tennis team Friday at Montclair Country Club.
The day was highlighted by senior Tanner Baine and sophomore Daniel Gutierrez winning close three set singles matches at the 5 and 6 positions. The men's tennis team heads to Hilton Head Saturday to play four matches during Mason's spring break. They begin match play on Monday March 7th with a doubleheader against Tusculum and Northwood.
“I'm proud of the way the guys fought out there today, they gave it their all and most importantly continually supported each other on and off the court," said Coach Jimmy Davis. "Each match we are getting more confidence and growing as a team, I'm excited for the chance to play back to back matches at spring break and continue to work on the areas that need improvement.”
