George Mason men's tennis edged Mount St. Mary's, 4-3, on Tuesday afternoon at the Mount Tennis Courts. The Patriots improve to 5-7.

In doubles play, the Patriots Joe Hill and James Lange defeated Austin Blake and Mateo DeSomocurcio, 6-3, at the top flight, but the Patriots dropped the other two matches and the point. At No. 2 the Mounts Louis Tonon and Wortkotter earned a 6-4 victory over Tanner Baine and Daniel Gutierrez and Salomon and Darren Mast claimed a 7-5 win over Aaron Capitel and Wesley Wong at No. 3.

Mason would rally and claim victories at each of the top four singles flights, as Capitel topped Blake, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 1, Hill downed DeSomocurcio, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2, Lange earned a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Tonon at the third flight and Baine registered a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Mast at No. 4. The Mount's two singles victories came at No. 5 and 6 as Salomon posted a 6-3, 7-6, 10-8 victory over Guiliano Buzoianu and Wortkotter earned a 7-6, 7-5 win over Gutierrez.

The Patriots return to action on Wednesday, March 16 as they host Georgetown with the women's team at 2:30 p.m.
