The Mason men's tennis team fell to a strong VCU team, 7-0 at the Thalhimer Tennis Center in Richmond, Va. The Patriots drop to 1-4 while the Rams improve to 10-2.

At the top spot of the lineup, VCU's Michal Voscek defeated Aaron Capitel  6-1, 6-3. At the five position the Patriots Daniel Gutierrez jumped on the Rams Daryl Monfils in the first set 6-4, but lost the next two in the only match to go three sets.

The Patriots will battle on the court Sunday at Westwood Country Club against James Madison at 1 pm.
