Fairfax, Va.-The George Mason University wrestling team will take on American University in Mason's final dual of the regular season.
The dual will begin at 2 p.m. at the RAC with the 125 pound weight class leading things off, while the seniors for Mason will be honored at half-time.
Mason had an uneven performance on Thursday night, falling to Eastern Wrestling League rival Lock Haven 22-14 before defeating Virginia Military Institute, 16-15 on redshirt freshman Matthew Voss' dual clinching decision victory.

Mason against Lock Haven and VMI:
· Redshirt senior captain Vincent Rodriguez(133) moved to (20-8) on the year with two victories against Lock Haven and VMI. The captain defeated the 33rd ranked wrestler in the country from Lock Haven, Robert Rehm, by decision 5-2, and then defeated Dominick Gallo of VMI by decision, 4-1.
· With one win and one loss Thursday night, Mason moved their overall record to 8-13 and 2-4 in the EWL.
· Redshirt senior Blake Roulo(149) went 1-1 on the night, losing a tight match to Lock Haven's Daniel Neff by decision, 3-2 but came back strong to defeat VMI's Stevan Smith by decision, 7-3.
· Redshirt senior captain Greg Flournoy(157) had another impressive outing winning both of his matches to push his overall record to (28-7); Flournoy defeated both Lock Haven's Aaron McKinney and VMI's Neal Richards by decision, 6-1 and 3-1, respectively.
· Redshirt junior Luke Ludke gained a pivotal victory over VMI's Ben Wagner by major decision 11-3 in the redshirt junior's best performance of the season. The four team points Mason won as a result of the match were pivotal in deciding the dual.
· Voss won both of his matches on the night, defeating Lock Haven by major decision, 11-3 and defeating VMI by decision, 3-2. This is not the first time Voss has been called upon to rescue the Patriots late, the Edgewood, Wash. native defeated his opponent from Clarion Zach DeLuca earlier in the season by decision, 6-5, giving the Patriots a 22-18 EWL victory.
· Mason will honor their seniors in the following order Sunday, Ludke, redshirt senior Konbeh Koroma(149), Roulo, Rodriguez and Flournoy.
American Preview:
· The Eagles are currently 5-9 overall this season and 1-6 in the Patriot League.
· American lost Friday to #21 Ohio in a tight dual, 18-16.
· Like the Patriots, the Eagles have defeated Bloomsburg and Davidson, American beat the two schools, 36-9 and 41-10, respectively.
· American currently owns a 6 dual winning streak over the Patriots with Mason's last victory in the series coming in the 2007-2008 season, by the score of 28-18 in Fairfax.
· Redshirt junior Patrick Davis(165) was the only current Patriot to earn a victory against the Eagles, winning by technical fall 19-4 over Cole Moseley.
· American is led by senior #14 ranked David Terao(125) and senior #14 ranked John Boyle(157).
