FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason freshman Attila Kiss earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week, the league office announced on Tuesday. 

Kiss, from Miskolc, Hungary, received his second weekly award after winning two events and placing third in two others over two days at the Richmond Duals.  Kiss helped the Mason men's team earn a 230-180 victory over Davidson.

On the first day of competition, Kiss finished first in the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:57.91), winning the event by nearly 10 seconds.  He also posted a third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.69).

On the second day of competition, Kiss touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle (4:37.68) and placed third in the 400-yard IM (4:09.86).  Kiss has won the 500-freetyle in each of Mason's last three meets. 

This is the fourth weekly award for the Patriots this season.  Seniors Sydney Fisher and Paul Helfgottwere each named Atlantic 10 Performers of the Week, while Kiss was chosen Rookie of the Week for their efforts last week.

The Patriots return to the pool at the Jim McKay Natatorium, hosting Towson and Northeastern on Friday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m.
