In their first Patriot Intercollegiate the University of West Florida captured top team honors and set a tournament record with a three-day five-under par performance. James Madison, who began the final round in fourth place, made a surge on the final day to finish runner-up. Host George Mason earned fifth place marking their best finish in the Patriot Intercollegiate.
Towson's Jimmy Grem won medalist honors at nine-under par for the tournament. He started the day at 11-under par after shooting a tournament best 64 in the second round. West Florida's Talin Rajendranath who started the day at two-under par, finished with a five under par today and the record the day's best round.
Brock Kovach and Eric Edwards led the Patriots with a three-round four-over par and finished tied for 15th overall. Mason's Trevor Tremps finished 21st at six-over par.
