The Mason tennis teams wrapped up the final day of the Mary Washington Fall Classic in strong fashion. The women won twelve matches on Sunday and lost eight while the men won nine and lost eight.
The results were highlighted by Scarlett Walston going undefeated with three singles and three doubles wins. Jimmy Lange was the leading male performer as he had only one loss in five outings for the weekend.
Freshman Sydney Green remained undefeated in singles play on the young season by adding three singles wins to her four wins from the Mason Invitational last weekend.
"I am happy with the overall results for both teams this weekend," commented Head Coach Steve Curtis. "This was a good early season test for our players. It shows us the areas that still need improvement"
Both teams are back in action next weekend as the women are at the Loyola Invitational while the men are playing in the annual fall tournament at the Naval Academy.
