Senior Brooke Blankenship continues to pick up postseason accolades. The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its Division I Softball All-Stars and the Patriots third baseman earned second team honors.
The Glen Allen, Va, native started 51 games for Mason this season and led the team with nine homeruns and 45 RBI to post a .367 batting average. She set a new Mason softball record with 26 career homeruns in program history.
University of Massachusetts-Amherst senior Quianna Diaz-Patterson (Amherst, Mass.) was named ECAC Player of the Year while James Madison University freshman Megan Good (Mount Sidney, Va.) was selected as the ECAC Pitcher and Rookie of the Year. Joining Good is her head coach, Mickey Dean, who was tabbed as ECAC Coach of the Year. Representatives from ECAC Division I member institutions completed the voting.
