Redshirt senior Jake Kettler placed eighth overall at 130kg and junior Sahid Kargbo was once match away from placing at 66kg at 2015 Las Vegas/ASICS U.S. Senior Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada this past weekend.

Both Kettler and Kargbo wrestled in the Greco Roman bracket. Kargbo began his competition with a 11-0 technical fall over Christopher Rodgers before being defeated by Joseph Betterman. In the wrestleback bracket he won matches against Omar Maknassi (8-0) and Justin LaValle (19-10) before falling to Jamel Johnson, once match shy of placing at 66kg.

Kettler also opened with a win after a first round bye, 11-3 over Jack Griggs. After going down to Erick Nye, who placed fifth overall, Kettler bounced back with a 7-0 win over Okala Makaiau and followed with a 10-1 loss to Parker Betts who placed sixth. The redshirt senior was defeated by Nikola Bogojevic in the seventh place match, resulting in an eighth place finish at 130kg.
