FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team is set to make a short trip to George Washington for a doubleheader on Wednesday. Most recently, the Patriots took two of three games against St. Joe's, who was previously undefeated in the conference.

Most recently, the Colonials fell in two of three games against UMass in a conference series last weekend. GW picked up their lone conference win of the season against UMass after being swept by St. Bonaventure and La Salle earlier this season.
Victoria Valos leads the GW offense with a .369 batting average with five homeruns and 30 RBI. Carlee Gray isn't too far behind, batting .368 on the season. Paige Kovalsky has a team-best 3.59 ERA and is 6-1 on the year. Sarah Costlow has started a team-high 17 games and is 11-12 with a 3.97 ERA.
Brooke Blankenship and Liz Seymour have been on fire for the Patriots, raising their batting averages to .347 and .337, respectively. They have also brought in a combined 39 RBI for the Patriots this season. Mary O'Connor also played a big part for the Patriots against St. Joe's, picking up six hits in just 11 at bats.
Christina Gabriele pitched in 10.1 innings for Mason and gave up just two runs, including a complete game.
