Patriots Alexa McGovern, Jacquelyn Spalding, Gina Purdue and Taylor Carpentier each earned Lacrosse All-Conference honors, as announced by the conference on Thursday. McGovern, a sophomore midfielder, earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team. Spalding, a sophomore attack, and Purdue a junior defender, each appear on the Second Team and Carpentier, a freshman goalkeeper, was named to the All-Rookie team.

McGovern appeared in all 16 of the Patriots regular season games, scoring 31 goals along with six assists. The Sykesville, Md. native led Mason in draw controls with 51 and was second on the squad in caused turnovers with nine.

A Riva, Md. native, Spalding leads the Green and Gold and is second in the A-10 with 57 points behind 35 goals and 22 assists. As the Patriots lead defender, Purdue is second on the team with 49 draw controls and leads the team in caused turnovers with 12 in addition to 15 groundballs.

In her first season with the Patriots, Carpentier started every game in the cage snagging 140 saves. The Garden City, N.Y. native is second among conference starters in save percentage (.468) and saves per game (8.75).

Mason opens post-season action on Friday when they face reigning A-10 Champs in the opening game of the conference tournament at 1:00 p.m at the George Washington Mount Vernon Athletic Complex.
