HARMONY, FL - The George Mason Men's Golf team completed a strong second round at the A-10 Championships in Harmony, Fl on Saturday. The Patriots vaulted up the leaderboard into 6th place after shooting a 287 to put them at 7 over par for the tournament.
Freshman Brock Kovach remains in contention for the individual championship after shooting a 1 under, 71 for round two, which put him in 5th place. Kovach trails the lead by 7 strokes going into the final round on Sunday.
Zack Lauzon and Eric Edwards also had very strong rounds on Saturday with Lauzon shooting a 2 under, 70 and Edwards with a 1 under, 71. Kyle Hart bounced back and improved five shots on his first round score.
VCU currently leads the field at 4 under par with Davidson on their heels, only three strokes back. Adam Ball leads the individual scoring at 10 under par for the tournmanet.
The Patriots will look to build off thier strong Saturday when they wrap up the A-10 Championships on Sunday.
