HARMONY, FL - The George Mason Mens Golf team completed the first round of play Friday afternoon at the A-10 Championship in Harmony, Florida. The Patriots finished the day in 9th place, shooting an 8 over, 296 at the Harmony Golf Preserve.
The Patriots were led by Broch Kovach who fired a 2 under, 70 to finish the day tied for 6th place. He was followed by senior Zach Lauzon who is currently tied for 25th place shooting a 2 over, 74.
Ellis Messian finished the day at 3 over par, 75. Eric Edwards currently leads the field in par saves with 15.
Davidson College is the current leader after shooting a 4 under par, VCU and Saint Bonaventure round out the top 3 with rounds of 2 under and even par respectively. There is currently a tie for the individual lead with Jack Persons from GW and Adam Ball from VCU each shooting 6 under 66, for the round.
