NEWS & NOTES
George Mason continues a week of rowing at home, hosting the annual George's Cup on Sunday at Sandy Run Regional Park. The Patriots will welcome Georgetown and George Washington to the Occoquan Reservoir to compete for the title. Georgetown won last year's George's Cup with a point total of 18. GW came in second with 14.5, while Mason finished third with 6.5 points. Last year, the competition took place on the Potomac River.
Sunday marks the fifth annual George's Cup competition. Georgetown took the first round as GW claimed the next two years before the Hoyas moved back into first last season.
The teams will race at Sandy Run Regional Park. Parking will be free. No shuttle to the grandstands area will be available. The address to the parking lot is: 10450 Van Thompson Road, Fairfax Station, VA 22039.
