The George Mason swimming & diving team recently put together a list of the programs' top-10 fastest times in each individual swimming event. Times date back to the 2000 Colonial Athletic Conference Championships and run through the most recent 2015 Atlantic 10 Championships.
The 2014-15 team earned a total of 67 new top-10 times this season in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley events, including two new program records in the men's and women's 100-yard butterfly. Sydney Fisher broke the previous record of 54.91 seconds set in 2013 at this year's A-10 championships with a performance of 54.86. Travis Lauri set a new mark of 47.86 at A-10 Championships, knocking down the previous time of 48.18 set in 2012.
A total of eight new top-10 times were achieved at the 2014 Patriot Invitational, including the second-fastest time in the 200-yard freestyle set by Steff Maurer (1:50.09). The other 59 times came at Atlantic 10 Championships, 14 of which rank in the top-3 all-time in their respective events. Since joining the Atlantic 10 Mason has re-written the program record books, adding over 100 new top-10 times at just the 2014 and 2015 conference championships.
