RALEIGH, NC - The George Mason Men's Golf team finished in 5th place at the 36-hole, Wolfpack Spring Open at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, NC. The Patriots shot a 13 over, 297 during the final round on Sunday giving them a score of 581, 13 over par for the two day, 36 hole tournament.
Sophomore Kyle Hart put together his most complete performance of the spring, shooting a 2 under, 69 on the day which was good enough for a tie in 9th place. Hart tallied 9 birdies for the tournament which was 3rd best in the field. Brock Kovach and Eric Edwards also finished with top 30 performances shooting 145 and 146 respectively.
All five Patriot golfers shot 78 or better on Sunday including Zack Lauzon with a 77 and Ellis Messian with a round of 78.
The Patriots will be back in action April 24-26 when they compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships in Harmony, FL.
