Tuesday's game is the second and final meeting of the season between Mason and Georgetown. The Hoyas took first blood in the game on March 31 with a 16-9 victory at Spuhler Field.
Mason went 3-1-1 this past week, tying Towson on Tuesday before shutting out Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday and taking two of three games from VCU over the weekend. Mark Maksimow is scheduled to make his second start on Tuesday vs. the Hoyas. In his first of the season he pitched five scoreless innings of two-hit baseball in the combined 8-0 shutout over Mount St Mary's.
Georgetown has won three of its last four, including two of three from Big East member Villanova this past weekend. Nick Collins has played every game this season and leads the group with a .370 average, 47 hits and four homeruns. Nick Leonard, Tuesday's probable starter, has thrown only four innings all year with four earned runs and five walks to three strikeouts.
