George Mason track and field will compete in three meets this weekend. The Patriots will send a large contingent of competitors to the Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary on Thursday, Friday and Saturday while a select group of sprinters and hurdlers are headed to Gainesville, Fla. for the Florida Relays. In addition, Bethany Sachtleben will be Mason's lone representative at the Stanford Invitational.
The Colonial Relays are set to begin Thursday with the women's hammer throw at 4 p.m. featuring three Patriots. Competition continues throughout the day on Friday beginning with the women's 3000m at 9:35 am while the field events begin at 11 a.m. with the men's hammer throw and long jump.
Mason is scheduled to begin competition at the Florida Relays Friday with the women's 100m hurdles and men's 110m hurdles at 12:15 featuring Shavon Briscoe, Chantel Richardson and Anthony Williams. Friday's action concludes for Mason with the men's 4x400m relay at 6 p.m. before picking back up again Saturday afternoon with the women's 4x100m relay.
