The championship portion of the season begins on Saturday, March 7 when Mason competes in the 2015 Eastern Wrestling League championships at Rider University.

The EWL Tournament gets underway at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the quarterfinals. The first round of consolations are 1 p.m. followed by the semifinals at 3 p.m. The second round of consolations are 5 p.m. and finals at 7:30. The doors to Rider University's Alumni Gym open at 9 a.m.

Five Patriots were pre-seeded prior to the start of competition, including redshirt junior Greg Flournoy as the top seed at 157lbs. Sahid Kargbo, Patrick Davis, Ryan Forrest and Jake Kettler also earned pre-seeds.

Flournoy and Kargbo each placed third at least year's championships whereas the team finished seventh overall. Matt Meadows also finished an impressive fourth at 197lbs.
