FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team is set to host Towson on Tuesday, March 31 for a doubleheader. The Patriots were originally scheduled to take on the Tigers on March 3, but the game was postponed due to snow.

Most recently, the Tigers won all three games in Baltimore against the Patriots in 2013. Towson comes into this series on a four-game losing streak. Brook Miko leads the Towson offense this season, batting .359 with two homeruns and 15 RBI. Holiday Cahill provides some power in the lineup with five homeruns on a .333 batting average.
Missy McCormick has a team-best 3.60 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched. McCormick is 5-5 on the year with six complete games in 12 appearances.
The Patriots come into this doubleheader after sweeping Morgan State and winning one of three against Saint Louis this past week. Freshman Liz Seymour played a big part in the series in Saint Louis with seven hits in the three game-series. Brooke Blankenship provided some power with homeruns against Morgan State and Saint Louis. The senior now ranks first in George Mason softball history with 19 career homeruns.
Casey Herring found success in the circle and at the plate against the Billikens after hitting a three-run homerun in the 6-5 win and also pitching a combined 10.4 innings and giving up just four hits.
