The Mason golf team competed in the Blue Devil Spring Shootout on Sunday at the Duke University Golf Club in Durham, NC.   This was a one day event with each team playing 18 holes. The Patriots finished with a total score of 304, which was good for 6^th place in the 15 team field.

Three of the Mason golfers finished tied for 14^th place firing a round of 75.  Freshman Brock Kovach and Eric Edwards along with Senior Zack Lauzon each carded the 3 over par round that helped lead the Patriots to a 6^th place finish.

Freshman Ellis Messian fired a 79 on the day which was good for a 39^th place finish.  Senior Andrew Brenneman shot an 84 on the day and was among the tournament leaders in par saves with 12.

Tournament host Duke captured the team title with a 3 under par, 285 for the tournament.  They were led by Motin Yeung who won the individual title with a 4 under par, 68 for the tournament. 

The Patriots will head to Wilmington, NC for the Seahawk Intercollegiate on March 29-30^.
