The Patriots men's tennis team fell, 6-1, to host William and Mary playing outdoors at the Millie West Tennis Facility. The Tribe improved to 12-9, while Mason fell to 5-7.
The Tribe jumped out to the early lead after a sweep of doubles and earning the first point in singles. At No. 5. singles Mason's Tanner Baine dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision to Scott Huang. The Patriots countered with a win at the top singles positions as Jimmy Lange defeated Will Juggins, 6-3, 6-0 to get the Patriots on the board, but William and Mary won the final four singles matches in straight sets to claim the victory.
The Patriots return to action this weekend in Philadelphia to play Atlantic 10 conference matches against La Salle and Saint Joseph's Saturday and Sunday.
