HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL - The Mason Men's Golf team will begin their spring season when they host the 3rd annual Mission Inn Spring Spectacular.  Mason will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday at the historic El Campeon course in Howey-In-The-Hills, FL.

Mason has one of the younger rosters in the country and relying heavy on that youth for the upcoming season.  “Were relying on youth to get the job done,” coach Scott King said.  “We are getting better and better each time we step on the course and that is what you want with a young team.”

Mason will start one senior this weekend in Zack Lauzon and the rest will be underclassmen.  Sophomore standout Kyle Hart and freshman Brock Kovach, Ellis Messian, and Eric Edwards round out the five man team for the spring opener.

Meeting the 2014-15 Patriots:

Kyle Hart- A sophomore out of Richmond, VA, Kyle has enjoyed success in his first year and a half at Mason.  Hart earned back to back Atlantic-10 Golfer of the Week honors during the fall season.  He tied for first place in the Terrapin Invitational shooting a low round of 68. He was runner-up at the ODU/Outerbanks Collegiate the following week.
