Three Patriots earned Atlantic 10 honors as Jimi Tele was named Co-Performer of the Week while Taylor Sharpe and Xavier King, Jr. earned Co-Rookie of the Week nods.
Tele shares his award with VCU's Kyle Martin after the London native earned fourth place in the triple jump at the Meyo Invitational last week with an indoor personal record of 15.19m, placing him at first in the conference. The distance also lands Tele 10th on Mason's All-Time list.
Sharpe shares her third Rookie Performer honor of the season with Saint Joseph's Claudine Andre. The freshman out of Ontario finished sixth out of 74 at the Meyo Invitational in the 400m with a personal best time of 54.55, placing her eighth on Mason's All-Time list. Sharpe also ran in the 4x400 relay that finished seventh overall with a time of 3:42.58. Both times are second and first in the A-10 respectively.
King, Jr. shares his second straight Rookie Performer nod with Rhode Island's Nigel Hill after setting a new indoor personal record and landing 10th on Mason's All-Time list with a 47.83 finish in the 400m. The Virginia Beach, Va. native also ran the first leg in the 4 x 400 relay that finished fourth at the Meyo Invitational. Both times are good for first in the A-10.
