RACE NOTES
-Competing in a field of 38 crews, Mason finished 15th.
-The Patriots faced unfavorable weather conditions, battling a stiff headwind through the race.
-Brown University captured the top spot, finishing in a time of 17:09.583.
-Fellow A-10 members Fordham placed 5th, while UMass claimed 9th.
POST-RACE QUOTES
“The conditions were not in our favor, cold and windy. The girls rowed a great race considering the conditions they faced. We don't often deal with wind and rough water on the Occoquan, so adjusting to the environment was a test for the 8+. I am pleased with how our team performed considering the conditions the past two days. They showed a lot of maturity in adjusting and performing well when they needed to.” – Head coach Ted Nagorsen
