The George Mason rowing team returns to action racing in the Women's Club 8+ at the 51st Head of the Charles Regatta, the world's largest two-day rowing event, this weekend.
The HOCR originated in 1965 and since has welcomed the world's best crew teams to the banks of the Charles River for the ultimate two-day rowing competition. The event attracts over 11,000 athletes and 400,000 spectators.
Last season, Mason placed eighth in a field of 34 competitors. This season, Mason will race at 2:19 p.m., starting just ahead of Alabama. Also in the Women's Club Eights are Brown, UMass, Northeastern, Alabama, Old Dominion, Boston College and Drexel to name a few.
