The George Mason wrestling team faces its fifth EWL opponent of the season and a nationally ranked opponent for the second consecutive weekend when its hosts Edinboro on Saturday evening.

The Patriots (7-8, 2-2 EWL) look to snap a small slide when the Fighting Scots visit the RAC at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Mason has lost its last three duals, including a 25-13 loss to EWL member Rider and a 29-6 defeat by the hands of North Carolina on Sunday.  

Redshirt junior Greg Flournoy and redshirt senior Jake Kettler won all three of their matches last weekend and continue to lead the team in wins this season. Kettler also received a ranking of 25th in the first NCAA Coaches Panel rankings, which helps determine which wrestlers qualify for the National Tournament in March. Flournoy was named the EWL Athlete of the Week after his undefeated weekend, including a decision victory over a ranked Chad Walsh from Rider.

Edinboro enters Saturday with an overall record of 11-4, 4-0 in the conference. The Fighting Scots are currently ranked 7th in the most recent WIN Tournament Power Index Rankings and 15th in the latest USA Today/NWCA Coaches Poll. Edinboro currently has seven wrestlers showing up in the national rankings. The team finished fifth overall at last year's NCAA Championships.
