LEWISBURG, Pa. - After falling to no. 24 Bucknell early Saturday afternoon, the George Mason wrestling team went on to win six out of 10 matches to defeat Sacred Heart in the second dual of the day at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Bison were able to take down the Patriots by a score of 34-6, winning nine of the 10 matches. Mason rebounded with a 23-13 victory over Sacred Heart to put its dual record at 6-5 this season.

Redshirt sophomore Ryan Forrest recorded the only points of the Bucknell dual, pinning Brenan McAllister in 2:37 for the six points. Six of Mason's losses in the contest came by decision, all within three points of their opponents.

Vincent Rodriguez set the tone against Sacred Heart, recording a 22-6 technical fall over Tim Johnson at 133lbs. to put the Patriots up 5-4. Sahid Kargbo won his bout 5-4 at 141lbs. while Greg Flournoy went on to victory at 157lbs. by the score of 6-4. Ryan Hembury picked up his first victory of the season since reentering the lineup, a 5-3 decision over Elliot Antler at 184lbs. Matt Meadows earned the win at 197lbs. (3-0) and Jake Kettler recorded his seventh pin of the season to seal the dual.

The Green and Gold complete their weekend road trip on Sunday, January 18 with a conference matchup against Clarion at 2 p.m.
