The University of Missouri leads the third annual Patriot Intercollegiate going into the final round Monday at Laurel Hills Golf Club in Lorton, Va. The Tigers finished with a two-over par 570 (282-288) at the 17-team tournament hosted by the Patriots. They lead the Marshall Herd by three strokes.
James Madison's Connor Walters is atop the leaderboard after shooting a two-under par 140 (68-72) at the 6,903-yard, par 71 course. Four players are close behind at one-under par, including the Tigers Euan Walker, St. Joseph's TJ McNulty, Drexel's Chris Crawford and Tom Barnes from Fairleigh Dickinson.
Sophomore Kyle Hart leads Mason after a two-round 148. Hart improved on his first round 77 with an even-par 71 in the afternoon today. He had five birdies in the second round.
Freshman Ellis Messian didn't card a birdie in the first round today, but scored three in a four-hole stretch (holes #12-15) in the afternoon to finish with a 151 (77-74). All five Mason starters fared better in the second round.
