The Mason golf team finished the first two rounds at the Janney VCU Shootout today at the Hermitage Country Club in Manakin-Sabot, Va. The team carded a two-round 619 (305-314).

Senior Zack Lauzon notched five birdies en route to a one-over first round 73 to begin the day. He followed with a 77 to lead the Patriots with a two-round 150. Freshman Ellis Messian scored a two-round 155 (78-77) and freshman Brock Kovach followed in scoring for the Patriots with a 158 (81-77).

The final round will be played Tuesday morning.
