The women's tennis team played the third match in four days as they hosted St. Joseph's. The Hawks handed the Patriots a 5-2 defeat in the first meeting as A-10 opponents.
Mason opened the scoring by winning at #2 and #3 doubles to take the first point. The Hawks tied the score when Eisenbrand defeated Yang at #2 singles. They widened the lead as they won at #4 and #3 singles. Mason needed to win the last three singles matches to win the overall match. St. Joseph's secured the win when Brittany Pilkington fell to Aurora Davis in a long battle that went three long sets.
Olivia Lacy-Thompson garnered the only singles victory for the Patriots when she finished off Claire Minnoe in two straight sets.
The Patriots are back in action this weekend for three straight game, as they host the Greyhounds of Loyola Friday. The match time is 3:30 p.m.
